father, partner, aging punk, south texan, teacher, prof. at michigan state
hi. i’m danny.
I’m a professor of physics and computational science. I’m also someone who enjoys learning, technology, and the internet. I live in East Lansing, Michigan with my partner and our three kids. I’m originally from Deep South Texas. I have lived in Mission, San Antonio, and Austin, TX. For a time I lived in Atlanta, GA and later in Boulder, CO. East Lansing, Michigan has been my home for over a decade; I love it here.
I have this blog to document the new things I’m learning, to write about my work and thinking, and to develop my ideas through writing. You can start with my first post to see why I started this blog.
Nothing on this blog is meant to represent the views of my employer, colleagues, family, or friends. It’s often just me, thinking out loud. You can see all of my posts here, and you can subscribe to my RSS feed if you want to keep up with my posts.
You can catch me on GitHub, Bluesky, ORCID, and LinkedIn.
